Historic Sites of Manitoba: Concrete Beam Bridge No. 699 (Cypress River, Municipality of Lorne)

A concrete beam bridge over the Cypress River in what is now the Municipality of Lorne was constructed in 1921 by J. P. Tremblay & Company, using Plan No. 699, for a total cost of $4,184. At the time of its construction, the bridge was located on the main highway betweem Treherne and Somerset. It has since been bypassed by PTH 242 one mile to the east.
