This site, at the mouth of Cooks Creek into the Red River, in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements, was the end of a spur line of the Canadian Pacific Railway. In the late 19th century, goods destined for shipment up Lake Winnipeg were unloaded from trains and loaded onto ships at this point.
