A 30,000-bushel wooden grain elevator at the siding of Chillon, on the CPR Bredenbury Subdivision in what is now the Rural Municipality of Ellice-Archie, was built between 1921 and 1922 by Paterson Grain. The elevator was sold to Manitoba Pool in February 1928 and its capacity was expanded in 1952 with a three-bin balloon annex constructed beside it. When a nearby United Grain Growers elevator was purchased in 1960, it became known as Pool A. The elevator was closed in July 1971 and dismantled in 1972.
