Historic Sites of Manitoba: Chemawawin (Cedar Lake, Northern Manitoba)

A monument on an island in Cedar Lake in northern Manitoba commemorates the flooding in 1964 of the community of Chemawawin and its cemetery during the creation of the forebay for the Grand Rapids Generating Station. It bears the names of people who were buried here.
