Formerly known as Lister Rapids Park within the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul, this park was named for municipal official Frederick “Fred” Byle. It was officially dedicated as Fred Byle Park on 3 July 2005 as part of the 125th municipal anniversary celebrations, and a commemorative plaque was unveiled to mark the event.
