A 208,700-bushel wooden grain elevator at Burnside Siding, on the CPR Carberry Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie, was built by Manitoba Pool Elevators between August 1983 and July 1984, and opened officially on 25 July 1984. It was later closed and demolished in 2008.
