This cottage is a major landmark in the village of Grand Marais. Built in the 1920s, Broken Tree Cottage is the largest and most ambitious of the several distinctive log cottages and cabins that still stand. Distinctive features are the saddle-notch log construction, stone chimney and foundation, and original interior details.
