In 1918, Bethany Lutheran Church was built at this site in what is now the Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West. Its associated cemetery was located a short distance to the east. The church was moved to its present site in Inglis in 1950, leaving its concrete steps and foundation behind. A commemorative monument was erected at the former church site in August 2001.
