Historic Sites of Manitoba: British America Grain Elevator / National Grain Elevator / Federal Grain Elevator 2 / Manitoba Pool Grain Elevator C (Benito, Municipality of Swan Valley West)

A wooden grain elevator at Benito, on the CNR Preeceville Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of Swan Valley West, was built around 1912 by the British America Elevator Company. Merged in 1940 into National Grain, it was sold to Federal Grain in 1969 and to Manitoba Pool in 1972, becoming its Pool C elevator. It closed in 1980 and was later demolished.
