This two-storey frame house on Larose Avenue in The Pas was built between 1921 and 1922 for mining engineer George Ross Bancroft. He owned the house until 1927 after which it was a residence for the local RCMP Commissioner. The interior has many original elements, including its fireplace, staircase, interior doors, and trim. The shingle siding on its exterior is also original.
