Historian.
He graduated with an MA degree from the University of Manitoba, and continued on to doctoral studies at Queen's University, Kingston. During 1972-1973, he held a Killam Fellowship as a visiting lecturer at Dalhousie University, Halifax, and as of 1974 was lecturing in history at Queen's University. Dr. McKillop has given special attention to intellectual history. He was a General Editor of the Manitoba Record Society (circa 1979).
