Educator, historian.

Born at Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, England in January 1945, after attending preparatory schools until 1956, then Weston-super-Mare Grammar School for Boys until 1964, he was at St. Luke’s College, University of Exeter (1965-1968). He immigrated to Winnipeg in August 1969 and taught at schools in the Assiniboine South School Division #3 and Pembina Trails School Division retirement in 2012. He served as President of the Assiniboine South Teachers’ Association (1980-1983) and President of the Manitoba Social Sciences Teachers’ Association (199-1993). He was a member of the council of the Manitoba Historical Society and served as its President (2017-2019). He assists in the development of the MHS’s Historic Sites of Manitoba website. His interests including cooking, history (especially Greece, Rome, Napoleonic Period, American Civil War, First World War, and Second World War), travel, and music.
