Leonard Domaschuk

Professor, engineer.
Born in 1933, he graduated from Elphinstone High School in 1951 then spent the next two years teaching in rural Manitoba, at Odda School (1951-1952) and Whitemouth Lake School (1952-1953). He went on to receive a BSc degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba, an MSc degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta, and a PhD degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He spent three years teaching Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and thirty years at the University of Manitoba, where he combined teaching, research, and consulting. He established an annual Entrance to Engineering Scholarship specifically for high school students in the Harrison and Strathclair municipalities. He retired to West Kelowna, British Columbia in 1995.
