Manitoba Organization: Parkland Ukrainian Pioneer Association

The Parkland Ukrainian Pioneer Association was established in 1976 with assistance of staff from the Manitoba Department of Agriculture and the Manitoba Department of Culture and Tourism. Its purpose was to “maintain and promote the culture and heritage of the Ukrainian-Polish pioneers who settled the Oakburn-Olha-Rossburn-Seech area in 1899.” The Association worked to restore neglected historic buildings and sites in the area.
