MHS Centennial Business: Windsor HotelThe Windsor Hotel began life in October 1903 as the Le Claire [LaClaire] Hotel, a "magnificent new facility ... designed by the owner to satisfy the most finicky tastes of our clients." By 1930 the name had changed to the Windsor, with over $100,000 being spent on the hotel and bar. In the 1980s live blues music was introduced, and the hotel found its niche. An MHS Centennial Business Award was presented by Judith Hudson Beattie, Ken Zealand and David Deane in May 2004. See also:
