MHS Multicultural Dinner 2008

The Manitoba Historical Society invites you to its annual Multicultural Dinner.

Tuesday, 1 April 2008

At the Asper Jewish Community Campus, 123 Doncaster Street (west side – between Wellington Crescent and Tuxedo Blvd.) Parking is available in the parking lot across the street from the main entrance. Staff parking spots are available after 5:00 p.m. The #18 “Corydon-Edgeland” and #79 Charleswood buses both stop on Tuxedo at Doncaster. Other buses stop on Kenaston.

The guest speaker is Dr. Allan Levine local historian who is currently writing a book on the history of the Jewish community of Manitoba.

Doors open 5:00 p.m. with walking tours of the Campus, Jewish Heritage Centre and Archives departing at 5:15 p.m. sharp. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. After dinner there will be klezmer music.

Enjoy kosher non-meat Jewish dishes including matzo ball soup, cheese kugel, potato latkes, Israeli salad, cheesecake and chocolate commish.

Cost per person is $23.00.
