The Rivers Train Station
Restoration Committee would like to acknowledge
the support of
Manitoba Sport, Culture and Heritage
in the
development of this initiative,
through a grant
from the Heritage Grants Program
and through
ongoing guidance and support of the
Historic
Resources Branch.
Regarding
Sources
Much of the
information presented here is the result of Heritage Projects
undertaken with the support of the Heritage Grants Program. All of
these projects and more are available on the Rivers and Area Heritage
Website (http://www.riversdalyheritage.ca). A list of print media
sources is provided at the end of this page. Excellent local history
volumes were indispensible, as were newspapers, notably the Brandon
Daily Sun and the Rivers Banner.
Unless otherwise
identified, the images used are from the collection of the Rivers Train
Station Restoration Committee, The Prairie Crocus Library, and the
collection of the author. Items from the S.J. McKee Archives and the
Archives of Manitoba are noted.
