Belmont / Christ Church, Anglican This Anglican Church was built in 1901, and enlarged in 1909 and 1929. Inside is a stained glass window commemorating local veterans of the First World War. Now deconsecrated, the building is operated as part of the Belmont and District Museum. The Belmont United Church was built as a Presbyterian Church in 1901. A tower was added around 1910 and a bell donated by the municipality was installed later. A basement was constructed under the building in 1920. Following Church Union in 1925 brick veneer was added. It closed in 1991 and is now privately owned. |
