Alexander
Gouldie was born in 1852 in London, England. In 1875 he was
married to Martha McIntosh in Chicago, U.S.A. They moved to
Gretna, Manitoba, in 1893, and from there to Killarney the following
year. In Killarney they operated the Grand Central Hotel.
Following this, they moved to the Rowland district where Mr. Gouldie
operated a farm for many years. He died in 1936, at the age of
eighty-four.

Currie of Winnipeg rented the Grand Central Hotel Killarney Guide May
21, 1897) William Coleman still remains at the Old Grand.
