Information |
The first
Presbyterian Services were conducted by Rev. McLeod in 1882 using
temporary quarters. The Church hired George Burge to build a home for
thye minister on the present site of St. Paul's Church. THe downstairs
rooms were used for services.
In 1900 this property was purchased by the Methodist Church. To make
room for the new church on this site this house was moved across the
back lane to become the residence of J.A.McLachlin, co-fou8nded of the
Virden Emprie in 1905.
