Description

The C.P.R.
Railway Underpass provides a safe pedestrian crossing over a
busy
rail line near the corner of Sixth and Wellington. |
Heritage
Value
|
After an
accident involving a young girl, the Virden’s
Women’s Institute
was instrumental in having the C.P.R. Railway Underpass constructed in
a
place regularly used by pedestrians. It has served that purpose since
1917,
with renovations updating it in 1951.
