William A. “Bill” Waiser

Historian.

As a Professor of History (now retired) at the University of Saskatchewan, he became known widely as “Saskatchewan’s historian.” His scholarly and popular writings on western and northern Canada are considered major contributions to the heritage of these regions. In recognition of his community service, he was inducted into the Order of Canada (2017).
