Municipal official.
Born in 1967, son of Edward Richard “Ed” Schreyer and Lily Schreyer, his childhood was spent in East St. Paul where he attended Dr. F. W. L. Hamilton School and Robert Andrews School. After his family relocated to Ottawa, he attended the Hillcrest School then, following a move to Australia, he attended the Narabundah High School in Canberra for two years. Returning to Winnipeg, he attended St. Boniface College.
He hosted a local cable TV show for a couple of years and recorded some of his lyric compositions in local studios. He worked for MLA Jim Maloway and was an executive assistant for MLA Steve Ashton, spent several years working on oil rigs in Alberta, and did manual labour for Abalon Construction. In 2014, he was elected to the Winnipeg city council where he spent the next 12 years. During this time, he was a city representative on the Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation (2016-2017), and a member (2020-2022) and Chair (2022-2025) of the Historical Buildings and Resources Committee. He received a City of Winnipeg Community Service Award (1987).
He died suddenly on 29 April 2025, survived by a wife and two sons.
