Memorable Manitobans: Mary Joker Burke “Mamie T.” Gordon (1876-?)Educator. Born at Ontario on 8 October 1876, daughter of William Michael Burke and Mary A. Marshall, she moved to Winnipeg and was the Principal of Pinkham School (1900-1901). On 4 September 1901, she married fellow Winnipeg resident William Edward Masey Gordon (c1867-?) in Vancouver, British Columbia.
