J. Friesen
Born at Blumenfeld, he received BSc (1954) and MA (1962) degrees from the University of Manitoba and a degree in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Toronto. He spent five years working on rural assessment for the Manitoba Municipal Affairs Department and, as of 1964, was conducting land use studies and inventories for the Manitoba Department of Agriculture.
