Educator, writer.

Merv Ahrens is a retired educator living in northwestern Ontario. His research interests include the fur trade history of his home area and the establishment of the Canada-US boundary. Early trader journals, sea captains' logs and diaries are the source of most of his published essays.  He's working on other riveting Canadian narrative sources to be mined and shared.
