Manitoba Organization: Transcona Curling Club

Presidents | Sources

Curling in Transcona had its beginning in 1913. This club was forced to disband following the First World War. Curling was a forgotten sport in Transcona from 1919 until a few far-sighted individuals banded together to form the Transcona Curling Club in 1938.

In the late 1970s, the curling club ran into financial difficulties. In 1980, it was purchased by Allan Richard “Al” Golden; however, the club finally met its demise after the 1988-1989 curling season.
