The 45th annual John A. Macdonald Dinner of the Manitoba Historical Society will be held on Saturday, 6 February 2010 in the Provencher Room of the Fort Garry Hotel, starting at 6:00 PM.
Dr. Jerry Gray,
Dean Emeritus and Senior Scholar at the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba
will be the featured speaker at the 45th Annual
Sir John A. Macdonald Dinner on 6 February 2010.
Dr. Jerry Gray is Dean Emeritus and Senior Scholar at the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba where he also held the CA Manitoba Endowed Chair in Business Leadership until his retirement in 2005. He taught management and organizational behavior at the University of Manitoba since 1970, and previously taught at the University of South Carolina and the Glacier Institute of Management in London, England. Dr. Gray’s publications include articles on organizational design, employee motivation, leadership, and management development. He has also written four books in the areas of organizational behavior and supervision. In 2007-08, he chaired the Manitoba Regional Health Authority External Review Committee for the Government of Manitoba. As President of J. L. Gray & Associates Ltd., a consulting firm specialising in organizational and human resource development, he has consulted with many major corporations in the United States and Canada.
Most recently, Dr. Gray has served as the volunteer Chair of the Board of The Friends of Upper Fort Garry, a volunteer group whose mission is to reclaim one of the most historically significant sites in Western Canada and the birth place of Manitoba—the site of Upper Fort Garry.
Tickets for the 2010 Sir John A. Macdonald Dinner are $100 each for MHS members and $110 each for non-members.
