Dené Sinclair

Dené Sinclair (she/her) is Ojibwe-Anishinaabekwe from the St Peter’s Band (Selkirk, Manitoba) and a member of Peguis First Nation. She is an award-winning leader and advocate for Indigenous-led business, heritage and development and now runs a successful consulting business in Winnipeg. Dené is a committed learner of Anishinaabemowin, and proudly gives back to her community through volunteer work on several boards and committees. She is an artist and creator and spends as much time in her studio as she can.

Dené is a part of the management team at the Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Education Centre, serving as their business advisor and providing strategic development direction as MICEC grows and expands into the future. MICEC is Manitoba’s largest cultural education centre and welcomes anyone interested in learning about Indigenous peoples, cultures and languages to engage in its programs, libraries and collections.
