Alicia Gooden is the current President of the Manitoba Archaeological Society. She has a Master’s Degree in Archaeology and has worked in Canada, the UK, and Croatia. She also teaches the Archaeological Field School and Anthropology courses at Brandon University. Alicia has been working and volunteering in the Manitoba Heritage sector since 2010 and has lately been focusing her energies on excavating for the Pierson Wildlife Management Area Archaeological Project (MAS, BU), connecting the MAS with Indigenous communities, and working with the other Provincial Heritage Agencies to garner government attention and funding.
