Kristin Catherwood is the Director of Living Heritage at the non-profit organization Heritage Saskatchewan. She specializes in community engagement and has a particular interest in rural heritage. Her Master's thesis (in Folklore, from Memorial University of Newfoundland) examined barns and family farms in southern Saskatchewan, and in her work for Heritage Saskatchewan she has engaged with over 100 rural and remote Saskatchewan communities. She has also worked in rural economic development, documentary filmmaking, and is a board member of the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation and an advisor on the CCUNESCO Memory of the World Register committee.
