The St. Jean Baptiste Centre School District was established in May 1897, and separate school buildings for girls and boys operated in the village of St. Jean Baptiste in the Rural Municipality of Montcalm. In 1958, it became the St. Jean Baptiste Consolidated School District No. 2362.
