Historian.

Arthur J. Ray is an historical geographer and Professor Emeritus of History at the University of British Columbia, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and an inductee in the Order of Canada. He has been engaged in research on Hudson's Bay Company records since 1968. His forthcoming edition of Henry Kelsey’s papers, From the Frozen Sea to Buffalo Country: The Life and Times of Henry Kelsey of the Hudson’s Bay Company, 1667-1724 will be published in 2022 by the Champlain Society.
