Memorable Manitobans: Kai Lorens Madsen (c1941-2021)

Community activist.

He began volunteering at the Christmas Cheer Board in 1969, later becoming a board member and serving as President (?-1996) and Executive Director from 1996 until retirement in August 2021. In recognition of his community service, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012). He died at his home on 6 October 2021.
