She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy as well as a major in Developmental Studies. She has worked in the past as a journalist for the Interlake Regional News and has more recently renewed her passion for writing by exploring the stories behind some of Manitoba’s oldest churches and other historic people and places. Her articles have recently appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press and in The Times.
