Publisher, MP (1988-1993).
She was President of the consumer service organization Winnipeg AM, for which she received a City of Winnipeg Community Service Award (1980). She served as President of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce (1987-1988), the first woman to do so. She was elected to the House of Commons, representing the Winnipeg South riding for the Progressive Conservative party, in the 1988 general election. She lost by a large margin in the 1993 general election. After leaving politics, she founded Pegasus Publications that produced the magazines Manitoba Gardener (1998), Alberta Gardener, Ontario Gardener, and Canada's Local Gardener. In recognition of her community service, she received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012) and was inducted into the Order of Canada (2022).
