Manitoba Organization: Selkirk Curling Club

The Selkirk and District Curling Club was first organized in 1893, with a two-sheet rink which was believed to be located on Eveline Street in Selkirk. A new curling rink was built of Fox Avenue with four sheets in 1910. In 1937, a new four-sheet rink was built again on Fox Avenue. In 1961, construction began on the present facility with six sheets of artificial ice, located at 381 Jemima Street. A major renovation took place in 1982 when a permanent lounge was built upstairs.
