MHS Centennial Business: Altona Echo / Red River Valley Echo

This weekly newspaper was founded in January 1941 by David K. Friesen, one of the original leaders of Friesens Corporation, as an offshoot of the firm's printing business. In 1955, it merged with the Morris Herald to become the Red River Valley Echo. The paper closed in 2020.
